Nigeria is made a historic mark on Friday by featuring athletes in the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
The trio of Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga will dorn the green and national colours as the first African bobsleigh team to participate in the games as it gets underway.
Simidele Adeagbo will also add to the feel good euphoria when compete as the first African female to compete in Skeleton at the Games.
The team filed out during the opening ceremonies to a rousing compliment from the crowd who are aware of the journey of the Nigerian ladies whose imprint in the sand of the 2018 Winter Olympics is indelible as trailblazers.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his best wishes to Team Nigeria as they begin their representation of the country in the 2018 Winter games.
In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, President Buhari assured the athletes that Nigeria stands with them throughout the competition.
