Esom Kemakolam of Dansol School, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos emerged the overall winner of the 2nd edition of the Rabiu Adeola U-12 Scrabble Championship that was held at the prestigious Lagos Country Club, Ikeja GRA, Lagos. .
The competition which featured over 70 kids from 22 schools in Lagos and Ogun states was keenly contested by the participants who showed their mastery of words much to the delight of all the guests.
The second position went to Angela Osaigbovo of Grange Schools GRA, Ikeja who gave Esom a good chase while Gerald Ekhagbai of Queensland School placed third.
Esomchukwu Kemakolam who smiled home with a trophy, gold medal, certificates and loads of gifts for his winning effort promised to sharpen his skills to win more tournaments.
The second and third placed winners were rewarded with silver and bronze medals, certificates and juicy gift packs.
All the participating kids at the Rabiu Adeola U-12 Scrabble Championship also went home with gift packs and certificates.
The 2017 event which is wholly sponsored by ace broadcaster and sports entrepreneur, Bimbo Adeola is in honour of his late dad, Rabiu Adeola who passed on four years ago as a way of immortalizing his name.

The contestants at the U-12 Scrabble Championship played six games much to the admiration of the guests, teachers, members of the Lagos Country club and officials present.
The first edition had over 60 kids from 13 private schools .
