Shehu Bamidele’s performance on day two of the ongoing 2023 Joy Heyball Masters’ Div One Tour 2 Nigeria Qualifiers, has changed the complexion of the group A by topping with the maximum 3 points and 14 wins while Raji Abdulbakir and Nosa Lawani are placed second and third with 2 and 1 point and 12 and 8 wins respectively.

Charles Chijide finished as the weeping boy of the group with zero point and 6 wins earned from the 3 matches played.

The first round which was a race to 5 wins contest witnessed some exhibition of class and skill and also did witness the only straight 5 game win in the match between Nosa Lawani and Shehu Bamidele.

In the match between Nosa Lawani and Charles Chijide, Nosa lost games 3, 4 and 6 on technical ground as he potted his White Cue ball when on 8 Black.

The Qualifier continues on Thursday as spotlight descend on players in Group B.

We are in for another interesting two days of fireworks as the group with some SPPA top players square up against one another to determine who will top the group and proceed to play against shehu Bamidele in the Finals of the 2023 Joy Heyball Masters’ Div One Tour 2 Nigeria Qualifier.

All eyes are on Wale Osomo, veteran Snooker players and former national Snooker champion to see if he still has the fire power to overwhelm the young talents that are thriving to make a name for themselves in Cue sports.

The winner of the 2023 Joy Heyball Masters’ Div One Tour 2 Nigeria Qualifier will be going to Lanzhou City, China to play in a tournament with a 300, 000 Yuan (approx. N19.5 M) prize money.

Players that end within the bracket of 1st to 112 shall be receiving different sum of cash prizes amongst other type of reward like Certificate, Trophy and grade points in the global ranking.
