The Managing Director of Give ‘n’ Take National Lottery, Mr Jolly Enabulele has presented the sum of N525, 000 to Mr. Daniel Jewel as other winning prize for week 5 of Give ‘n’ Take National Jackpot.
Below is exerts from the statement release by the media officer, Mr Princewill Aninwobodo.
Making the presentation at the company’s headquarters in Abuja, Enabulele said it was part of the company’s resolve to pay every winning in the ongoing National Jackpot draw of the organization.
So far over 900 persons have won other prizes at the Weekly National Jackpot draw which started in 25th June, 2017, although no Jackpot winner has emerged.
Speaking to newsmen after the presentation, the winner Mr Jewel, a businessman living in Lagos said he “felt great” and was grateful to God for the feat.
He said: “It is a surprise because I didn’t expect I was going to win this sum of money. I give thanks to God.
“I just tried playing the lottery for the first time with N250 and here I am a winner of N525, 000. I thank God.
“I will continue to play and I believe with time, I will win more than that, my target is to win the jackpot,” he said.
Jewel urged Nigerians to play the game for they would benefit immensely from the jackpot especially at this time of recession.
The National Lottery Regulatory Commission was present to inspect the game.
Speaking on the credibility of the company, Assistant Director Regulation and Monitoring, Mr Yagba Tsav said lottery was a game of luck saying that the commission expected a winner of the jackpot to emerge anytime.
“Someone has won N525, 000, its getting close to someone winning the jackpot. In a short while somebody will win the jackpot,” he said.
According to Tsav what the commission does is to inspect the balls and ensure that they were even in size.
“ What people can do to manipulate draw is to bring in balls that are not even in weight. We ensure that the balls are equal in mass.
This is to ensure they have the same velocity as they are powered inside the draw machine.
“The second thing we do is to ensure that the machines are working very well. Functionality of the machine is very important. We also ensure where they keep the machine and the balls is secured,” he said.
“What Give ‘n’ Take is doing is peculiar because it is one type of lottery that ends with a jackpot. It is very exciting and entertaining. It is a type of game that can be played on any type of platform,” he said.
Present at the event to thrill the life audience was a Nigerian songwriter and singer, Keshinro Ololade known by his stage name, Lil Kesh.
He said that lottery was a good thing for Nigerians to participate in as it served as a means of empowerment.
“What matters is how credible it is. Judging from what I have seen and the information I have about it, Give ‘n’ Take jackpot draw is credible.”
Lil Kesh urged upcoming entertainers to desist from pride and be hard working and consistent in their entire endeavour.
“Just be happy. Once you are happy, it controls every other thing around you.
