Nigerian-born UFC star Israel Adesanya, on Wednesday, arrived in Lagos to a warm reception after his loss to Dricus Du Plessis on Saturday.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission announced this via a post their X.com (formerly Twitter) handle on Wednesday.
Adesanya was accompanied by his parents and received by the staff of the NiDCOM at the airport.
Adesanya had succumbed to a fourth-round submission loss to South Africa’s Dricus Du Plessis in their middleweight title showdown at UFC 305 in Perth on Saturday night.
Isreal Adesanya is visiting Nigeria with his parents. Their itinerary remains unknown as at the time of filing this report.
