Nigeria’s No 1 female goal tender and Super Falcon goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie was named as the MVP in the French Women’s League playoffs semi-final game on Saturday night between Paris FC and PSG.
At the end to the 90 minutes, the game was a stalemate with Chiamaka making seven saves and also two clearances in the course of the game. Chiamaka outstanding performance as a penalty server when in goal is a known record.
Chiamaka outstanding performance forced the match into penalty shootout where PSG defeated ParisFC 5-4. Amaka put up a spectacular display despite her team losing to PSG on the night.
The second semi-final of the playoffs will be between Olympique Lyon and Paris FC in the third-place which will be played on Friday, 17 May 2024.
Therefore, the two teams that advance to the playoff’s final will automatically qualify for the UEFA Women’s Champions League next season. (PSG and Olympic Lyon)
Paris FC still has a chance at pursuing their Champions League ticket if they win the third-place playoffs.
